Since 1925

The man who named Hollywood built this for himself

Joseph Wesley Young laid out a city on the land between the Everglades and the Atlantic and called it Hollywood. He developed Port Everglades and served as the city's first mayor. In 1925 he built himself a house on its main boulevard.

Twenty three rooms, Spanish Moorish, with a ballroom, a tiled courtyard and a pool. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places and it is still privately owned, which is why you come here by booking.
